At the heart of every great initiative are human stories waiting to be discovered

We combine a creative agency's strategic insight with a production company's cinematic and storytelling prowess.

Our production teams have their roots in photography, the arts, documentaries and social impact projects.  We strive to produce visually rich, authentic and interesting content for people and organisations doing good things, ultimately contributing to positive social change through the production of quality content.

Apart from sounding super cute, clipo stands for: Collaboration, Longevity, Intrigue, Process and Openness.

Our Story

In 2007 partners in life and business, John Sones and Tamsin Sharp travelled to India. They bought home a Tibetan Singing Bowl and fell in love with its unique and transcendent sound. The next day, they started Singing Bowl Media, a video production agency with a social change focus.

500+ productions and 100+ clients later, they emerged from a dark pandemic cocoon and discovered bright new colours. That's when clipo was born!  With new wings, a new vision, and a wide range of industry contacts, they are ready to take their experiences to the next level.

John Sones - Co-Founder | Lead Producer

John moved from Northern Ireland to Australia in 2000. He had an unconventional start to video production with a career as a financial analyst. After quickly working out that 'working with numbers' was not his true path, he became a travel photographer for Lonely Planet Images. Stepping into the world of the moving image, John was able to combine his love for storytelling, photography and producing. He hasn't looked back since.
